Fixings for standard 2.0 pinto air filter housing
Hi All
Does anyone know where I can get or even have, the 4 x 10ml head size screws that secure the 2 support brackets, to the factory 2.0 pinto air filter housing to rocker cover? (Martin has found me the 2 brackets).
Also, are there specific plastic female connections that the screws go into? (On the side of the rocker cover) If so, I'll need these two, or a suitable alternative.
Currently, mine has different plastic clips that secure the HT leads, which don't look suitable for reinstating the factory setup.
Thanks.

They're similar to the ones that fix the radiator and the radiator cowling, thinking about it I probably have some.

Hello Brooksy
As there has been no follow up to your initial post about your needing the pictured bolts I take it you still require them.
I have a similar self-tapping screw: 10 mm head / 20 mm thread length / 6 mm thread dia plus six with a thread length of 17 mm.
I know these may not help you however, I can maybe steer you in the right direction.
I obtained these screw from that well-known purveyors of equipment to discerning car owners: Hörmann.
Never heard of them? Not surprising: they're a German company which manufactures garage doors and it's how I got these screws.
They're used to hold the aluminium sections together.
They have a serrated washer; contain a bi-hex Allen key form in the head and are galvanised.
So if you are still having a problem get down to your local DIY shop or wherever else they supply/manufacture garage doors etc.
The purists may frown but who cares?
If you still need some let me know and I'm sure I can get you some.
PS:
Our 2.3S now has a, "Hybrid Cool Air Induction System".
Why hybrid?
It's built up from components manufactured by Ford and Marley. The latter obtained in the sanitary department of our local DIY centre.
"Washing, polishing and displaying cars is fine however, I much prefer driving mine.

The fittings you need are M6 x 15 for the bottom of the bracket into the side of the rocker cover. The top bolts are the same as is used in mounting the radiator and the plastic cowl.
I can't figure out how to put pictures up.

I wrote this ages ago but I think it still applies -
This assumes you have a pic on your computer (for example on your desktop) already -
1. Go to https://postimages.org/ (you do not have to be a member or login)
2. Click Choose Images
3. Browse to the pic you wish to use and double click it (or click once and click Open)
4. Copy the Direct Link in the list (i.e. click the symbol on the right or highlight it and press Control-c)
5. Open up a new message window on here (as if to type your reply/new message, or whatever, as you normally would)
6. Type your message and when done click the Img button and then press Control-v (this will paste the link you previously copied in step 4)
7. Press Preview to see how it will look or Submit, and you're done.
