I have the gearbox with the reversing light switch on the bottom - would that be the Type 5 box?
My dumb question is... does the oil come out if I unscrew the reverse light switch?
And do I need to remove the interlock bolt and mechanism on the side first?
Many thanks.
Removing reverse light switch
Re: Removing reverse light switch
Just unscrew it. Your main problem will be finding the correct replacement switch, they're unique to that gearbox, no other Capri one will fit.

Hi mate,
These reversing light switches do come up quite often on eBay but genuine Ford switches command quite a high price these days, if not I think Tickover sell brand new reproduction switches.

Many thanks for the advice.
