Post by mwillerton »

Can't help with wire gauges but last time I needed to do a bit of wiring I went to a car wrecker and got a good hunk of a wiring harness , lemme tell ya from someone who has made a few harnesses .......it ain't never as easy as you might think....and with that in mind ,make sure you buy enough stuff to make 2 :) and when cutting to length be generous ....you can cut a bit off but you can't cut a bit on
Sometimes I talk to myself ... and we both have a good laugh

I would probably look at the fuses the circuits come from as a guide to amperage, then double the rating for a safety margin? Other than that, wattage divided by volts of whatever you`re powering will give you current. (so 60w bulb /12 = 5A, hence the 8A fuse) There will be tables on the net giving current/awg.
