Good Afternoon All,
I've just bought these genuine Ford floor bungs, the smaller of the two sizes required, but are they the correct style for the Capri? They are the correct size to fit the holes, by the way.
Thanks!
Andrew.

Hi Andrew, I bought some off Martin a while ago, they were more like a 'dish' shape & matched the old ones that came out. This is a part which you'll probably never see again once fitted so nothing wrong with these IMO.

Hi Rob,
Thanks for your response. The same seller I bought these from also had the disc type bungs that would match the larger bungs, but as these were genuine Ford I thought that they were the correct fitment for the Capri, but now I'm not sure!
I'm just a bit concerned that these won't seal as well as the flatter ones fitted with some seam sealer.
Andrew.

I fitted mine with seam sealer, they were pattern parts & I've had no issue with them since fitted. These Ford ones look good quality & they've also got rubber seals so could be removed easily if needed in future. Both have their merits I guess it's down to personal choice.

That's very helpful advice, thanks Mc!
In fact, as they are to go in the floor of the Capri, I'll search for "bottom plug" and see what turns up.....

To coin a modern term, I suspect that might not be 'work safe'

On the subject of how innocent searches may get you into trouble, I've just watched an American TV show where one person called another a "Douche". Not being totally au fait with American colloquial parlance, although I had an idea of the possible meaning, I decided to enter the word into Google....
I get the feeling I may start seeing some strange adverts on websites now.

Just had Jan, one of our cleaners in work, who loves a chat & the odd conspiracy theory, telling me I should google a story about ‘Mel’s Hole’.
Can’t see that going wrong

What could possibly go wrong with that search?
