Valvoline vr1 oil

Hi since swapping the nylon timing wheel for alloy ive had a constant whining when the engine warms up spoiling the drive of the car.ive just done a service on the car and new motorcraft filter and valvoline vr1 mineral oil.wow what a difference better oil pressure and the whinings almost gone yaaaaay!.it had halfòrds crap in before.just a heads up for anyone looking to quiten thier engine diwn a bit .cheers mel

Amazing how different oils can improve things like that :D

Hi Mel,
I stopped buying Halfords oil when our resident oil guru warned against using it. I also use Valvoline and have been very happy with it.

Cheers chaps i googled where its sold and low and behold opie oils is 20 mins from me so a quick drive to pick the oil up £27 for 5 litres .and the filter i bought a few from fords a while back .chuffed
