Update - Having checked with the company, it appears that item only has the one bottom seal, so not correct part.

I used to have a tiny seep from the cap. I saw she had about 1/2” to the top so I ignored it for a while. Then when I fitted the new temp sensor and it was showing 3/4 I double checked the level and she needed about 3 pints of water/coolant. Then I checked and she’s running at 1/2 in the temp gauge. I noticed the seal was pretty worn on the cap so am gonna get a new one.
The pic above says 13psi , is that right as I thought somewhere I saw an 82 psi one was correct?
Has anyone got a link to a decent high quality one for the 2.8i special? I think she’s running the standard rad, even though she’s got the 2.9 Cosworth..

Cheers

Hi Stu,
You'll need to check this as the standard 2.8 set up uses a non-sprung cap on the radiator, the expansion bottle must have a sprung cap. Is it the same for the 2.9 Cosworth?

I'm pretty sure that 13 PSI is the correct pressure, 82 PSI is way too high. Perhaps you're getting the numbers mixed up with the thermostat, which must be an 82 degree one.

Andrew.

Cheers Andy for that ultra quick response! I have the unsprung cap on main rad. Seal perished. Expansion cap not checked but I’ll check tomorrow... ta

I'd certainly recommend the Capri Club for your new cap, mine was absolutely spot on, quality part and issue fixed. Yours is cheaper than the Tickover one too -
