Bumper colour.
Quick question, should the metal parts of the bumper be satin or gloss black.

Re: Bumper colour.
I believe from the factory they should have been satin - not 100% sure mind - I had mine done in gloss, think t keeps the whole shiny look going

Re: Bumper colour.
I would agree, also thought about painting them same colour as the car.

Re: Bumper colour.
It's up to you, of course, personally I feel that the Capri doesn't look quite right with body coloured bumpers. Probably because the overriders and end caps would still be black.
I'd stick with satin black as suggested by the others.
Andrew.
Re: Bumper colour.
Hello Allan
For such jobs I use a black heat-resistant paint (650°C).
After the paint has dried and hardened I polish the part with a plastic polish spray ("Arrmor All") which produces a “satin +” finish.

Re: Bumper colour.
Ive always wondered what they would look like in chrome.
Though there are plenty of Mk3s with Mk2 bumpers retro fitted it would be interesting to see one with chromed Mk3 style bumpers complete with standard overiders and end caps. It was a look that worked well on the later facelift Mk2 Granadas and probably would have been good on the Capri. Surprised no one seems to have made them as an aftermarket alternative given they are quite a simple pressing compared to most car bumpers.

Re: Bumper colour.
Now I like satin and I also like gloss for the bumpers it’s nice to put your own stamp on but I will agree with young Andrew I am not a fan of paint colour.
