I have a non functioning horn on my 2.8i 1986.
I have checked the horn itself, it works.
I have checked the earth on the horn - all is good.
I have taken the switch apart and cleaned it up.
I cannot work out the wiring at the switch though, there are 2 plugs, one is for the indicators and high beam, the other is for the horn i guess?
Does anyone know the wiring for these plugs? Which i the live feed for the horn?
Thanks
Matt

Re: Horn wiring
This website is very helpful with fuse wiring, here is a link to horn specifically

If you have a multimeter it's worth testing that the positive is getting a feed

Re: Horn wiring
Doesn't the horn have a permanent live feed and is operated by being earthed? Or was that just really old cars?
Re: Horn wiring
That was a possible alternative system which some manufacturers did use, but in the Capri it is a switched positive.340truck wrote:Doesn't the horn have a permanent live feed and is operated by being earthed? Or was that just really old cars?
