These wretched things again...
The bottom one, with the double FM buttons works fine.
Top one, however, cassette works perfectly fine, radio will not work. It either gets static or nothing at all, doesn't display any numbers on the digital screen, only the point symbol.
Anyone had the same issue and found out what it is?
I've lost my users manual for the radios, what do the two lower radio controls do? The ones that sit under the tune/volume knobs?
I think I remember one doing left/right balance, but can't remember which. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks in advance

So one is for adjusting the base , then the other is fine tuning the radio but very common problem with the radio not working and display .
I have one at home that one day I might get around to fixing as it has the same problem .
Also the double fm ones have a different belt fitted .

It will only be the tape deck drive belt

Cheers, I knew it was something like that. Won't be upping the base, speakers are crap and will just distort everything!Jasonmarie wrote:So one is for adjusting the base , then the other is fine tuning the radio but very common problem with the radio not working and display .

Will dismantle it and see if anything is obviously amiss. If it's a common issue then hopefully someone will have fixed it and noted how.
I know the belt differences, double FM uses a 72mm flat belt, other uses a 69x1.2mm square belt if I remember correctly. Bought both of these with belts gone, wasn't aware radio had gone in the one I wanted in the car though.
It won't, partly because it's the radio that doesn't work, and partly because I've changed both belts. Thanks though.Bod9084 wrote:It will only be the tape deck drive belt
