rear seats
hi how does the metal bit come off the rear of rear seat? thanks for any help

Chris, do you mean the panel that the carpet is fixed to? There is a 10mm nut hidden under a cut flap in the middle at the bottom of the panel. You'll see it if the seat is folded flat. For removal opf the rear seat found its easier to undo the nut Peter describes that holds the padded section of the rear seat to the metal and then with that out of the way there is a bit more access to remove the metal parts, brackets and hinges
