I have just got the front end sorted , 4 pot willwood 285mm vented kit alloy hubs , adjustable TCA's, 2" lowered 145lb springs , roller bearing top mounts and Gaz inserts.............the back end , I want to go 4 link and pannard rod , can any one tell me the correct springs to match the front ones ( rate wise ) to get on the coil over Gaz shocks I have in mind. I have no idea of the standard spring rates and cant seem to find out as everywhere I look only sez depends on the model and tells me nothing , not even the different options for the different models.
Thanks guys
Hamish

Re: rear end coil overs and 4 link
Hi Hamish,
As it happens, I recently came across this info in an old article written by Steve Saxty, no less. The standard mark 3 rear spring rates are as follows:
Injection and "new" S : 140 lb/in
1.6/2.0 litre : 114 lb/in
3 litre S and Ghia : 124 lb/in (different free height and load characteristics for each).
Hope that helps.
Andrew.
