Hi again guys,

I want to add a modern radio e. G Bluetooth and good speakers etc into my laser. I don't want to take the original one out. I was thinking of putting it under the passenger seat and use the remote control to control it. Anyone do similar?

I've got a Bluetooth radio in the glove box in both of mine as control it with a remote, much easier to piggyback the wires from the original from there and just drill a hole in the back of the glove box

Another vote for in the glove box here too. And no need to reach over if it's a remote control one, far easier. As said, a small hole is needed for the wires taken from the original stereo, or you can use the aperture from the glove box light.

You might wish to consider this too, from Halfords (but used the other way up) -

Hi,
I know you said you didn't want to replace original radio, but have a look at 'Chrome London' or 'Ray Smith Audio' who both do retrofit radios (ie. Modern DAB with Bluetooth etc... in original fit radios).
Have a good one!

Do you have another means of passing the wires through?

As said, you could gain access through the glove box light aperture.
