Fuel tank original colour ?

Im getting a new fuel tank soon for my laser as think mine is rusty inside and its getting into fuel and blocking my carb up
I want to have new one painted does anyone know if they were painted from new and if so what colour ? Im thinking black or silver maybe

They were silver but I've refurbed mine and sprayed it with truck bed paint (black)....it looks great and is hard wearing.
I'll post pics up when I get my head around it....again

I would like too keep mine but its rusty inside i think so not sure how you deal with that ?

No mines original but you can get a sealer that you swish around inside to seal it.
I haven't done that yet.

i think you need to be careful what you use due to ethanol content. had my tank powder coated light grey then applied the internal coating
