As a Vegetarian it’s not possible for me to do this type of hobby but I do go out with the kids and do Vegetarians fishing .

So here is my tackle.

Also it’s called magnet fishing .

I think 2p is the best we have done and a fishing knife what was as rusty as they come . Always get people saying what are you doing and when you say they laugh and say what a great idea. Keeps the kids busy for a few hours .

I bet the kids love it. :) there was a chap on the news the other week.and he had a rope with a hook on the end and he used to chuck it in canals ect and he pulled out all sorts. Quite a few guns as well.

I've seen kids magnet fishing in the canal around here.
They've pulled out all sorts including pay phones that have been ripped out of phone boxes......

As for hobbies beyond our love of the Capri it's nice to know whilst all having something in common, we're all very different.
Personally I'm always working but any free time is mainly car orientated........its a complete getaway from property renovation which absorbs my work life and personal life.

I'd enjoy going fishing now and again but couldn't really get properly into it...... I am toying however with getting a tropical fish tank.... :headscratch:

Love the sound of pulling out a old phone box magnet fishing ,I agree as we get older some of our hobbies change . I have never done the tropical fish thing , my kids had goldfish but they only lasted a few years . But some wonderful fish to have I think marine fish are hard to keep and you can’t mix types of fish .

Until Jason mentioned it I hadn't even heard of magnet fishing. Apparently it's the latest thing, and Jeremy Vine even had a segment about it in his show on Radio 2 today. One person had even managed to catch an unexploded first world war hand grenade!

Andrew.

If you walk along the canal here in Stoke on Trent, you sometimes come across a pile of muddy shopping trollys, bikes, mopeds etc that the kids have dragged out.
I suppose as well as fun it's good to get the shit out of the waterways.
I remember as a teen when they drained the quay in Hull for the new shopping centre, it was full of stolen cars and motor bikes etc that no one new were there. :poke:

We the way spares are going on the Capri I am looking for that stolen Capri many years ago so I can put it on eBay with the 1 owner advert low mileage .
Funny they did a bit on radio 2 Andrew you must have thought what madness these kids are doing today . I got my magnet on eBay cheap and made the little ship I call it with a coke bottle . Great fun and cheap todo .
