Spring turning with steering wheel !!

Hi folks just fitted new steering rack to try and stop the steering from being so heavy but I have now noticed the when I turn the steering both the springs and the bolt that goes through the strut mount are turning. Thinking that taking the bolt off from the strut mount then spraying some wd 40 into the bush to try and loosen the whole lot then I was going to try some grease .
I am going to take the struts out and replace the springs and shocks in the near future but dont have the time at the moment . Do you all think the wd 40 and grease idea would do for now ? Have any of you come accross this problem before ?? Cheers Alex
