Hi,
is anybody can help me?
I'm looking a value for Tightening torque of the clamping nut, parts n°17 on picture:
I think value must be present in technical revue Haynes, i've loose mine ...
it's for a capri 2.8 injection special 1985 from UK with the limited-slip differential.
I've seen in this post a value, but i'm not absolutly sure it's the same, information gave by Andrew 2.8i:

Hi,
That is the torque listed in the Haynes manual for the "Drive pinion nut". The manual does say to check the torque of the nut before removing it. Tighten the new nut to that torque plus a further 0.15 to 0.30 lb ft to allow for the additional friction of a new seal.
Andrew.

Hi,
That torque setting seemed rather high to me, so I double checked with the Ford Capri workshop manual, and it states the same torque setting as the Haynes manual (74-88 lb ft, 100 to 120 Nm).
If you are not familiar with the pinion nut tightening procedure, I would highly recommend buying a workshop manual before attempting to torque the pinion nut, as this is not straightforward and some specialist equipment is recommended.
