The Ford Capri Laser Page

hi guys, I've brought a rear axel set up with lad 5 ling and struts, now they have also converted it to disc brakes, they are currently running ford ?sierra 894 calipers that are shot. looking at replacing them and I've heard a rumour that vw golf rear callipers have the same fitment and offset? does anybody know before i buy a set and see? as i need a handbrake for mot purposes. or if anyone else has a better caliber to fit let me know
