I would guess that the radio would have been an optional extra at the time of the JPS. It wasn't till 1977 that they started to be fitted to higher spec models.

It may have had the P21 as an option but more likely it was the silver buttoned Blaupunkt manufactured one that would have been fitted. I have a 1975 brochure somewhere and will try to scan it for you.

I would have fitted a period radio cassette to mine, indeed I did fit a Sharp ANSS RG model one to my 77 2.0S that I owned back in 1980.

What is strange is the JPS wheel had the flags on all of them even the white 1.6jos you see around also the airbox should be blue . So I don’t think the video one is true to form but the radio looks the same .

All the later MK2 "S" models should have the steering wheel with the flags centre cap. All MK2 four cylinder OHC engines should have the blue rocker cover, cambelt guard and the 2.0's had a blue air filter too.

I tend to agree
It's not a JPS ,it's a white S model. If you look the steering wheel centre boss is S not JPS ,the seat material is S and on the door trim, the handle pull bezel is chrome , the JPS were black.

If it makes you feel better Jason I believe you - A quick google of "white JPS ford capri" brings up this
Ford introduced the John Player Special limited edition, (known as the JPS) in March 1975. Available only in black or white, the JPS featured yards of gold pinstriping to mimic the Formula 1 livery, gold-coloured wheels, and a bespoke upgraded interior of beige cloth and carpet trimmed with black.

i Am fine thank you Dan . Just makes me laugh when all the capris my grandad had the white JPS was the Capri we all wanted him to keep , I asked him only this year why he moved on his JPS and he said he liked a change but should have kept it . I have got Mr Chris Doyle our main Capri artist who is doing some art work of a few capris for me with my two capris & a red Mk1 my grandads first Capri
And at the front is the White JPS 1.6 ( or in the non believers eyes a Vauxhall viva 1.1 L )

Yes, I remember that, I just wasn't sure that it was the same person or you had a team of artists working for you!
He's a great artist, that's a really good picture.
The Viva needs a bit of work though....it looks more like a Capri :xd:

Andrew.
