Hi, just trying to establish if anti roll bars are compatible throughout the range, I am aware of different diameters but unable to get any info on widths, I guess they would be the same?
I have recently purchased a second hand one, I have a MK1 Capri 3000GT but the one I have received is about 60mm too narrow!
I'm assuming this is not a Capri fitment?
Any comments would be greatly appreciated

Re: Anti Roll Bar
There were two shapes of anti roll bar. the Mk1/early MK2 had a straight type

As opposed to the later one which was curved around the mountings.

I would guess that the later one is more secure and less likely to slide side to side.
I'm not an expert on this but I guess the later one could be fitted if you changed the mounting brackets which bolt to the chassis rails and crossmember first, followed by getting the later bushes and clamps. The Laser and 2.8i models have the thickest bars at 24mm.

Re: Anti Roll Bar
I have a 24mm bar with the mounting brackets taken off a 2.8i, this will bolt straight onto your car.
Re: Anti Roll Bar
Thanks for the response, mine is an early 19mm where beefing up would be beneficial

Re: Anti Roll Bar
All you need to put later anitroll bar on to eney model Capri is the mountain brackets that fit in the corner of the chassis and front cross member as the later antirooll bars are on a Angela where the others are straight where they bolt
