What's this spade connector for?

It's one the wiper stalk, the second hand replacement one doesn't have it,but as far as I can tell, everything is working fine

Nvm, seems to be for intermittent wipe. Old model wiper stalk I guess

If it helps mine's got a solid blue wire going to it. I haven't got a late model wiring diagram to hand, will see what I can find out.

According to these circuit diagrams the blue wire does indeed go to the wiper intermittent relay.
