It may seem like a silly question but what are the key differences?
Are the indicators just standard MK2 units secured to the grill or were they specific to the US spec Capri? Also, the 'Capri' lettering looks like it's a removable badge where as the MK2 'Ford' lettering looks fixed in place? I'm looking to buy a Mercury Capri grill but don't see the point in spending $$$ if I can just make one up myself.
Any advice appreciated.

The indicators are actually side markers/running lights that are required for the American market.
