Good spot on the Janspeeds (I wouldn't have known if the owner hadn't told me!)
Apparently fitted by the previous owner.
Nice and Stainless - the underside's already clean enough, but those make it worth grovelling on the ground for a good gawp!

Quick question: Do Janspeeds affect the fuelling in any way?

Excited about seeing/hearing it tomorrow

Yeah, I think the pre. owner had a few others and sold this one to finance the restoration of a Brooklands project he had, so hopefully a well informed enthusiast as far as doing things correctly goes (?)

Enjoy the drive they do say don’t buy the first one you see but blow that if you and the wife like it then go for it .

But well worth getting her checked over and serviced at Tickover .

Vented discs are standard fitment on 2.8 Capris. The braided brake lines are not, however. Just thought I'd say.....

As Andrew says, vented discs were standard but if they are grooved as well then that is a small upgrade, much like the braided hoses.
Looks a nice 2.8 that.

I did exactly that & am really glad I did, love owning a Capri again. The car looks great, nice colour's & the interior looks good & unmessed with too. Looking at the underbonnet picture, you can see some corrosion between the inner/outer wings. Don't let it put you off if the rest of the car looks pretty solid. It's still very useable as is. It can all be done in time. If you're good with a welder you can save money repairing it, if you're not ( like me ) it can be quite costly to repair properly. Not trying to put you off at all, I quite like the look of this car, just letting you know so you can use this as a lever on price if you decide to go for it.

Personally, I prefer the fluffy dice in black though.....

Thanks for the photo spot Andrew, nice one I do actually have a pair of black fluffy dice left over from another car which would be rude not to install should the white ones not get thrown into the deal.

Also thanks everyone for all the positive comments. All looks promising but want to walk up to it with eyes wide open - but I suppose everyone says that don’t they, but it’s great to hear everyone’s opinion before viewing, thanks.

My mum & Dad had a in mercury grey XR3I new in 1989 and the back bumper was always a little bit darker to the rest of the car .

Hope it’s not to hard as I am going to get my front wing touch up this year .

I had a '89 3i a few years ago in Mercury Grey, original unpainted panels.
I took it to a guy with 45 years experience to get the rear arches repaired due to the usual rust problem in that area, and he matched the paint to the rear bumper Welding was fine but the paint finish and colour match was so I sold it as IMO it was ruined

With yours, but a decent painter should know that to match paint to the bodywork anyway.
