Will this sender fit my Mk2 3.0

Post by 3 Litre Power »

Last week my Mk2 3.0 Ghia's fuel gauge stopped working, i'm not 100% sure it's the sender yet but i wanted to ask anyway, if this will work in the case that it is the sender.

Says it's for Mk3 2.0 and 3.0, i think the Mk2 one is a bit different, but anyway would it work?

That sender is for a later MK2 and all the MK3. The early MK2 had the sender in the front of the tank and it is a totally different sender.

Yeah my Mk2 is a 1975 model with the sender in the middle / front of the tank, bugger.
Now if you could find me a picture of what that type of sender looks like i would appreciate it!
