Hi,
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to fit 18” wheels onto a Capri? If anyone has done it photos would be much appreciated!!

Yes 18" wheels are possible, clearance issues will depend on wheel width, offset and how low you want to go.

I run 18's although I still think they look a bit too big on a Capri, for me it's a case of needs must as anything smaller won't fit over the 360mm discs and 6-pots, plus there's an endless supply of used once 18" slicks from BTCC and Porsche Carrera Cup.

These are 9 1/2x18 but also have 10x18....

Hi Quad Cam,
Thanks for the reply, is there any chance you could give me more information on the wheels you are running? Did you have to modify the inner wings or floor pan to fit them?

The wheels are BMW as all the suspension is BMW so offsets etc. will be irrelevant. The 10x18"s have 265x660 Slicks, similar to a 265/35.
At the rear the inner arch where it turns down to meet the outer arch was removed for clearance, I guess you would do that anyway on an X-pack. At the front you may need to run more caster as the tyres might touch the footwell bulkhead on full lock, or you could reduce lock to lock travel with collars inside the rack. With more caster you may then need to relieve the front edge of the arch to clear the tyre. Depending how low you go you may need to clearance the top of the strut tower for travel on full bump. Basically they can be made to fit, best to assemble suspension without springs and move it through it's full travel, and lock to lock to see where your at.

I'm sure AndyGTT is using 18's with modified X-pack arches....

Yet again you've proved that you can pull off something that would normally look crap if done by anyone else!! 8-)

Thanks JC for the comments, I do try and replicate the pic I have in my head. Doesn't always turn out that way :)
A good example being the bonnet, didn't like it plus I couldn't see apex on left handers, now gone.

Hahah, yeah, I can see in the picture that it could make that difficult actually!!
