Re: Can anyone recommend material for steering wheel re-cover?
Hi,
What type of steering wheel is it? If you've got a standard one, why bother messing about with it when it's easy to obtain a replacement in decent condition?
If, however, you're after something different, for a racing/sporty look you could recover the wheel in Alcantara.
Andrew.

Hi Andrew,
It's a spare wheel I have lying around and thought it'd be a fun project. I was looking to cover it in a shark grey material.

Hi,
I hope that somebody can answer your question. I've always wondered how a steering wheel is recovered as stitching the material appears to be a quite a specialist task.

Turbo Mike from this very page did my RS Wheel to the most proffesional standard I've seen in years! It's only a hobby to him but boy o boy does he do it well. Did my door cards too, all in genuine Ford Leather. Top job, Top bloke.
