New Battery
It's new battery time for me. Anyone see any reason why I shouldn't buy either of these -
https://carbatteries-online.co.uk/?s=085
Seems very reasonable at either £45 and £55 for the heavier duty one, and free delivery.

Re: New Battery
Hi Paul,
Eurocar parts have 30% off at the moment making this one http://www.eurocarparts.com/car-battery £50.
Personally I prefer buying locally in case its wrong or damaged and I need to take it back. And I've always been happy with Lion batteries.
Bought one for mine 2 weeks ago fortunately the local store had one in stock, so I did click and collect and picked it up straight away.
All the best
Neil

Looks like a good buy to me. I've had a quick search online but can't find anything cheaper.
A fair point by Neil with regards to buying locally though.
Andrew.

Re: New Battery
Thank you Neil. I did have a glance at Eurocarparts (such a handy company that is), but I was favouring the ones in the link as they were higher rated. Good point about buying locally, it is always easier, and strangely that company are not too far from me. It is good to know that you recommend Lion batteries though.
Re: New Battery
Both look fine to me and with square terminals....Personally I would go for the £55, what's a tenner nowadayspbar wrote:It's new battery time for me. Anyone see any reason why I shouldn't buy either of these -

Re: New Battery
+1 for Euro car parts from me.
Picked up a battery, 2.8i fuel pump and fuel filter, all off the shelf and just down the road.
What's the guarantee on the batteries? I think Euro do 3 years on the Lions.
Noel.

Noel.
The guarantee on the cheaper one is 4 years, and 5 years on the other one.

For £55 you could have a bigger 092

It's the 2.8 battery so still fits the tray OK

Re: New Battery
Thanks Peter. That one does have a little less of a warranty. And then there's the question of it not being standard

Re: New Battery
Battery ordered yesterday afternoon and arrived 8.00am the following morning, that was quick. Looking forward to fitting it, how sad, hehe!

Fantastic service, you can't ask for more than that.pbar wrote:Battery ordered yesterday afternoon and arrived 8.00am the following morning, that was quick.
When I was shopping around recently for a new battery for my Toyota, I found that a fitted price was around £35 more than a supply-only price. I wonder how many people are happy to pay the higher amount, as it seems a lot to pay for no more than five minutes work....pbar wrote:Looking forward to fitting it

Re: New Battery
Did it come with the square terminals?
Seems a rare thing these days, I don't like fitting adapters as it just looks odd!!
