Tailgate decal size

Post by Noel »

Image20170424_173035

Please look at the above.
Its a couple of tailgate decals I have. One is older (smaller one 317mm long for CAPRI 2.8), and the other one I got off ebay last week, and is 349mm long.
The bit that says injection, is about the same size.

Question is, which is the right size?

Would someone please know the right size of these?
Thank you.

Hi,
I don't know the answer, however, the DMB graphics are supposed to be made to the original specifications and their site states that the size of the complete sticker is 530x53mm. Hopefully somebody with a known genuine sticker can measure theirs for you.

Looking at your two sets of graphics, the "Capri" and "Injection" parts look very similar in size, but there is a vast difference between the two "2.8"s. Somebody must have got the measurements wrong.....

Andrew.

You're right the 2.8 is the worst bit.
The CAPRI part is still bigger too - a touch longer.

Gut feeling is the older smaller is right. DMB rings a bell, I think that's where I got it from!

In the end I went with the smaller (but older) one as it seemed right, but....

Bugger it! It peeled!!!

So will have to have all this off and go with the larger one. I know I could just cut the injection bit off the other one, but the whole thing went on about 1mm out of place at one end, and I keep noticing it.
