Hello
I did try search with no luck but I have a dimdiped coil fitted to my 2.0 laser capri and wonder what the hell it is I also had it fitted to my old 2.0 laser both are 1987 . There is one on eBay for sale .

I might have the name wrong but it sits under the radiator cover at the front .

You mean "Dim Dipped"!
It basically is a resistor coil which switches on the dipped headlights at reduced power when the light switch is in the sidelight position and the engine is running. Cars went through a spell of having this fitted in the mid to late eighties because so many people then drove in poor visibility with just sidelights on - remember a lot of old bangers on the road then only had dynamo's and people were conscious of headlights draining the battery.
