Pinto on Engine Stand

Post by timfromull »

So gents, I have my newly acquired 205 Granny Pinto and I need to mount it on my Sealey stand.
My question is which of the six holes to use on the block back?
I'm assuming two threaded top and two unthreaded bolt holes at the bottom?
The reason I ask is because it seams a hell of a lot of weight to hang on these four, close proximity bolts :headscratch:
Any one had experience of this and got any picks.
I've even tried YouTube but no info on Pinto mounting.

Thanks, great pics mukka.
I see you used the two mid holes instead of the top tapped holes.
Is it a matter of personal choice? because I thought the weight would be better spread as far as possible.
Obviously you haven't had any problems, bud.

Did the same as above with my Transit 205 (high compression) pinto, mine even had its head still attached so it was even heavier and I had zero problems.
