Good evening all!
I have been preparing my capri ready to swap the 2.0 pinto for a 2.9 24v engine.
I've basically got everything in place, thought I'd covered every Base, and today I think I've found one thing I've overlooked!
It was a 2.0 pinto with 4 speed type e gearbox, and now it will be essentially the same as the 2.8 with a type 9 gearbox.
My question is, can I use my original propshaft, or do I need a shorter one?
Thanks in advance!
Propshaft differences!
Re: Propshaft differences!
I think the type 9 is a 23-spline box and the 4-speed type e is 20-spline. You will need the front section of a 23-spline type-9 propshaft. That's what I did anyway!
I'm the one who leaves all those shoes in the carriageway.
