Hi Team

I hope this is good news for you; but for the first time in years Pirelli have made a new batch of 185/70VR13 CINTURATO CN36

http://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/page/18 ... -cn36.html

I think these are the only genuine period tyres in the size. I also think they are the only V rated tyres in the size, though i suppose V rating is a bit overkill

They look like this Image

I realize this is a bit of a commercial post as i am contacting you from Longstone Tyres. Hopefully you feel it is good news

Ha Ha!

i was hoping you chaps could tell me.

I'm pretty sure that some of the Sporting Escorts ran a Cinturato CN36 https://www.cinturato.net/pirelli-cinturato-cn36.html

I seem to remember them on MK3 Capris years ago. They were also fitted on MK2 Escorts.

Hi,
Great news!
I wonder if they'll ever get around to remanufacturing tyres in 205/60-13?

Andrew.

I have that exact tyre on my spare wheel which I was told was the exact same as from the factory if this helps!

That's great.

What model / year is that?

Do you know what brand and tread pattern Capri fitted in 205/60R13?

you can still get much cheaper 185/70s at mytyres.com, Continental Uniroyal etc. (Although to be fair the Pirellis are period correct.)

EDIT Jesus - you thought they were expensive http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop. ... p=D-117951

Yes, planning on either getting some falkens or nankangs for around the £40 £45 each range. I'd imagine these are perfect for that person looking for a set of tyres that need to go with a show quality, nut and bolt restoration but not for someone like me who's on a budget and using it as a daily. I'd imagine they'd offer less grip aswell what with the tread being so old fashioned and all compared to a modern tyre? Can't see them doing well in the rain.
