Andrew when I had the two Capri's the one I got now B112 AAT I named Bodie....and the other one D665 LTA I named Doyle. One was B reg the other one D. No longer have Doyle but still got Bodie :)

Hi,
Maybe I'm in the wrong then. Has anyone performed gender re-alignment on a Capri before?

:agree:  Bet its not on the NHS either.......

A Ship is always a "She" but dont see why a car has to be...a fine example from this 'ere forum has to be Turbo Mike's 2.8i that goes by the name "Alfie" and is pretty well known here now :) Fits so right and proper in my humble opinion ;)

All the best

Nick

I think that with ships it comes from day of old when they thought a Goddess may protect them, they had female figureheads on the ships also. A Capri should be a HE, it has a bulge after all!

Thought I would post here as I had a scratch on my boot lid , I tried autoglym polish and paint renovations but I could still see the little scratch what with my OCD ,like all of us was starting to get the better of me . So I read in a classic car magazine about
A product called G so I hit the button on amazon and it come a few weeks ago .
I followed the instructions yesterday and used my autoglym rapid detailing spray instead of water and it’s vanished . I can’t even see where it was . So really pleased I did not use a lot and use a micro cloth to . I then polished with autoglym and finished with the wax ( yes not in the sun this time )

Thanks for the tip JM. Shame it doesn't work on Sierra paint burn through :headscratch:

Autoglym Resin Polish is still great with or without other products (Even on Red)

Their bumper and trim gel works great too and smells nice :)

Thanks Jason. It's always great to hear of cleaning products that have been tried and tested. I currently use Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, but I might give this Farecla a try when that runs out. It's a shame you didn't take any before and after photos though.

That’s the name super raisin polish cheers Andy , yes I do use this , and why did I not take a picture Andrew I only realised after I had a go with G as I thought it was not going to work in my head as the autoglym stuff normal does the trick .

Thing is I don’t have anymore to have a go on .

Well, that's a good thing!
What sort of scratch was the one you polished out? Was it similar to a swirl in the paintwork, or was it actually a visible scratch in the topcoat?

Never see that one , this I pad seems to do its own words at times . Back to Sultanas at first it looked like a deep scratch they you could fill in the middle with your nail , after having a go with products it was more like a side one from plants or trees type but you could see it ( after reading Andy’s nighmare ) I am glad I did not buy a electric polish machine . Thank you Andy .
But you could see it under real light .

I might see if we have any in the bus and have a play . With do a picture or YouTube 2 video
