Hi All,
Starting to think of some jobs to do over the winter and one of the things that I'd like to improve on the car is the loose door channel seals.
Anyone on here done theirs?
Found these so far. Was wondering if anyone had fitted them and what they thought of the quality?
East Kent trim supplies http://www.classiccar-trim.com/phdi/p1. ... ent&part=2 £11.71 each
CCI http://capriclub.co.uk/window-felt £19.00 each plus £12.50 shipping
Tickover http://www.tickover.co.uk/shop/contents ... p1343.html £14.34 each plus £6.95 shipping which is more reasonable
All the best
Neil

**Warning! Old thread resurrection**
Neil,
Did you ever replace your window channels? Tickover have some on order and East Kent supply them slightly cheaper.
My driver side needs doing at some point, but not looking forward to it!

I did mine a few years back - I thought it was surprisingly easy... Bit of a pain to get the old one out simply because it had perished and kept ripping but just pulled the old ones out and pushed the new ones in once cut to shape

I didn't take the glass out - made it more work!!
I just yanked the rubber strip out without even opening the door...
No doubt it wasn't the proper way to do it but it worked and never had any issues

That sounds like my way of working

Proper way of doing it!!
To be honest it was so long ago I can't remember... I'd punt a guess at CCI, but I think that they're all the same thing anyway and they come square ended so need the end cut off to fit around the door frame

Re: Door window channel
No worries Andy, I checked last night, just a few tight clips pinching the rubber in place - yank the old ones out with the window wound down, just push the new ones into the same clips, sorted!andyd wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2019 4:35 pmThanks Danny
