vinyl wrap

Post by capri33 »

Just want members opinion on vinyl wrapping? My capri 2.8 injection is silver, but i fancy having it vinyl wrapped gloss black, as I can always go back to the original colour, and the wrap will protect the bodywork

I am thinking of having mine done, my son is co owner of a print and designs company and they have done a couple of cars and they turned out amazing. I think he wants to do mine so he can use it for advertising which is fine by me.

Hi, A young man I know, he's only 23 has just done his golf with his dad they've never done it before, a few mistakes along the way but the end result is excellent, most impressed with what they've achieved, amazing what you can do if you're brave enough to have a go, which I'm sad to say I'm not,

Regards
Dave

I think it cost him £500 for materials not sure if that includes what he wasted, I'll ask him when I see him if you want,

Won't the adhesive damage the paint underneath?

Hi,
Vinyl wrapping is not something I would contemplate doing myself, but it is a great way to achieve the matt black look.

I have inspected some cars at shows that have had their bonnets wrapped, and I think it's fair to say that if it's not done properly it will look terrible.
Take your time over it and it should look fine.

Andrew.

I know guy who does them, he thought about a grand to do a Capri. He drives a Bini and when I first saw it I was convinced it was sprayed, only when you get VERY close can you tell it's not.

What happens then though? You take it off (hopefully without damaging anything) and you do it again?

utter crap, but women of a certain age seem to love them for some weird reason.
