Warm up regulator

Post by Burtr »

...also - anyone had any dealings with ATP Electronics? I need a replacement warm up regulator for my 2.8 as mine is leaner than Mexican West Coast Custom Hot Rod Driver on fat free burito's. Ta :D

Have you checked the filter isn't blocked underneath the large union?

All the best

Hi Burt,
As Neil says, try cleaning the gauze first, it's likely that is causing your problem.
The warm up regulator sets the mixture using a spring. I've found a site with photos of the inner workings that describes how the spring can be adjusted, but you do need a pressure gauge to test the system.

My philosophy is you've got nothing to lose by attempting a refurb if you're going to buy a replacement WUR anyway.

All the best,
Andrew.

Just stripped one of these down. The filter is actually five separate gauze layers!
