2.8i Exhaust

Hi all

Do i need the Kidney boxes on the 2.8i exhaust?
Can i have an exhaust with just a rear silencer?

No you don't, Performance downpipes are straight through. But without the middle Silencers it might be too loud ??

Do yourself a favour, get mid silencers! I had a 2.8 with straight a straight thru system, it ran well, loud as hell and after a cruise from Manchester to Blackpool for the show I changed them back to standard, the car acts as a resonance box and literally deafens you after 20 mins of cruising, if I hammered it my ears would actually ache!
In answer to your question, you don't need the kidney boxes at all.

To reduce noise perhaps? I don't know....and if Martin doesn't know!!!
