Hi,
It's easy enough to wire a set of lights to come on with main beam. You just need the lights, cable, a fuse, a 4 pin relay and a switch (optional). If you want four extra lights you will have to use two relays and fuses. Wiring diagrams can be found on the internet easily enough.
The difficult part is mounting the lights. I doubt if you can still buy the proper light brackets to mount the lights to the car body, so you will have to fabricate some kind of lightbar to attach the lights to. Perhaps some of the rally suppliers might be able to help with this.
Good luck and post some photos when it's done. 8-)
All the best,
Andrew.

Was the GT40 the only Capri with rally spots as standard?

GT40 was not a Capri

There was a Mk3 special edition called the GT4 but it was only really a tarted up 1.6GL

As far as I'm aware there were no Capris made with rally lights, though some Mk1s had driving lights fitted, just a pair of small rectangular ones.

Ford did, however, supply all the necessary brackets to fit both driving/spot lights and fog lights so some will have been specified by buyers from new I guess

If you look at the lower front valance on a Mk3 you will see a pair of holes below each indicator, which were to fit the fog light brackets to.

Hi,
Retrofit engineering do a repro set of under-bumper brackets in stainless steel.

The brackets look like good quality, but I think it's fair to say that they are not cheap. ;)

Aye, GT4, that's the one. Nice looking car, could have done with a bigger engine!

Hi,
Shame about those bonnet stripes but at least it's got the rear spoiler! ;)

Hi,
Are you still interested in these?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-CAPRI-MK ... 4ad4bdd863

Could be worth bidding on as these brackets don't come up for sale often.

All the best,
Andrew.
