Instrument Cluster circuit tracks repair

Post by Sonic »

Had to take the instrument clocks out last week to fix a sticky wiper motor with a hammer.
This was 10pm at night before my MOT so with much haste I must of damaged the clocks circuit as nothing was working at all.

My clocks circuit is quite bad. I had to completely bypass it and run leads straight from the loom to the Voltmeter. I also made a repair to the circuit before which has broke.

So out it came tonight.

There is meant to be 3 tracks. The first two are to the voltmeter which on mine are none existent.
The outer circuit track seems to be a ground as it knocked everything out. You can see my old repair.

Some solder and copper wire joining up the damaged tracks and its fixed.

Some duct tape to keep it safe from harm.

So its that easy. In case anyone is having any probs with their clocks. Remember be very careful with the clocks. The circuit tracks is really quite fragile.
