New Janspeed exhausts
Janspeed used to be the system of choice, their V6 exhausts used to sound wonderful. Apparently the current systems are produced by an entirely different company. Has anybody used them and if so what do you think of them before I spend nearly £300 on one

Re: New Janspeed exhausts
I live not a million miles away from Janspeed and a mate of mine was an employee until recently. I am not sure they are no longer made by janspeed but I do a agree they are the exhaust of choice. I have them on our 2 1.6's and the 2.8 and they have the best sound by far. £300 seems cheam ? Does that include manifold ? Or is it mildsteel ?

Their website doesn't exactly show alot either.
Since I got a capri I've said "over the moon" a lot more than ever before.

I'm currently running with a 3" sportex system inc. big bore manifolds and they sound awesome! The "pop" and lick of flames every now and again never fails to put a smile on my face.
Far too many people have forgotten the joy of just going out to drive!

Re: New Janspeed exhausts
I've just ordered a full system for my 2.8i.
It should be here on Wednesday; I can't wait to get it fitted at the weekend.
In reference to the first post of this thread, I wish I found a system for £300!!!

Junction26M1.
I saw it through ebay, but dealt with them direct.
It was an eye-watering £750 with a £20 for delivery.
I thought I'd get all the ball-aching jobs done, so the wheels are coming off next week for a refurb, and a new rear bumper arrives on Wednesday, too. I just need to sort the interior and I'll nearly be there!
I clearly haven't sobered-up from the weekend.
Luckily the wife never goes in the garage, so she'll never know that I'm spending her retirement fund!

Re. whether they still make all their systems, from their website:-
Global sourcing,.....HmmmWe have grown and developed our existing supply base from low volume and UK based, to medium volume and international supply with bought in components from as far as North America and Maylasia. Global sourcing has delivered signifcant opportunity in bought in cost and tooling, reduced lead-times and superior quality components.

Re: New Janspeed exhausts
Put a full front to back Janspeed plus manifolds on my last Capri (MK3 3.0 Ghia) and it sounded superb! I have a Capri Club system on my current 2.8i, and whilst it sounds great, I do prefer the look of the "pea shooters" on the Janspeeds as they are reasonably closer to the original look. A Janspeed with manifolds will be on the cards at some point.

Re: New Janspeed exhausts
Hi all, I am looking for a decent pair of manifolds for my 3.0s that will offer some improvement over the standard ones.
They do not have to be stainless steel, mild steel is fine, but I would like them to be able to cope with a triple 42dcnf webber system which I plan to fit at a later date.
Does anyone have any ideas what manifold would be most suitable and where I could source them.
Thanks in advance!
