Oil pump removal...im probably being a retard...

Post by jrooney1991 »

Hello everyone! Yes as usual ive come unstuck! *sigh* start as you mean to go on ay?

Anyway! I need to remove my oil pump, and the book of wisdom says use special tool 21-012 or some such rubbish!

Does anyone know what this tool is? Or where I can get it? Ive googled the usuals and tried ebay and can't seem to come up with anything!

A regular torx doesn't seem to fit in so im assuming it must be one of ford's own creations?

Many thanks guys! Hope you have all survived the snow!

i know the boy your on about too... its a 12 spline but I just used a hex bit from a regular bit box as peter has said and it did the job rightly. I did manage to misplace one and just replaced them all with high tensile hex head bolts.

Yeah 12 spline. I bought a 4 piece kit once. One size fits the oil pump. The largest of the four fits the standard Cylinder head bolts. So worth getting the set.
