Hi,
My car is a 2.0 but I'm going to do a 24v swap, I've got some bits but need a couple of answers.
If I fit a 2.8 tank do I still need the accumulator?
I have a 2.8 flywheel and clutch are they up to the job?
I've got a complete 2.8 wiring loom should I fit this then wire in the engine or can my 2.0 loom be adapted?
Might have more questions but that's it for now
Thanks Paul.

Re: 24v boa questions
You don't need the accumulator.
2.0 loom will be fine.
Use the 2.8 flywheel and flywheel bolts, fit a spigot bearing to the crank of the 24v.

Re: 24v boa questions
ok thanks,
ive got a 2.8 flywheel, 2 mt75 gearboxes, front 2.8 xmamber and engine mounts, ive got a standard 2.8 clutch also got the front half of a sierra prop.
collecting a engine tomorrow with wiring loom, just fuel tank rad and starter motor to sort out now.
Is it easy to get the 2.0 loom to work? i guess with the fuel pump i need to run a switched live feed to it, and replace the pipes with high pressure one?
thanks

Re: 24v boa questions
Yeah, be sure and replace all the fuel lines with injection hoses.
Wiring isn't hard. Check the modified wiring diagram on the wiki. I think it's easier with a non-2.8 loom as you don't use any of the 2.8 specific stuff any way. Just give the Granada engine loom +12 permanent, +12v switch, ground, and just wire you pump up to the granada fuel pump relay.

Speak to Capri Andy... he fitted the Granada speedo into his Capri clocks. He also put the fuel economy computer and cruise control in too.

Re: 24v boa questions
MT75s have the option of running a mechanical speedo and you might be able to order the parts for it new from ford but I never did the research so I cant tell you any more.
I butchered the granny speedo to fit in the capri dash as a temporary solution and its remained that way since. It wasn't easy and it doesn't look perfect.
One day I might buy a new aftermarket electronic speedo that fits nicer but they are expensive.
