Electrical problem - nearly everything not working!

Post by Cherry »

My Capri has lost all electrical systems, eg horn, indicators, washers wipers, dash instruments and lights.fuse box seems fine, radio still works, it has switched live only, car starts and runs and of course the headlights work. Is this an earth problem? The strange thing is, at first it was only the clock, horn and washers that did not work, then everything else went off!

sounds like the thin black wire that is on the pos terminal of the battery could have snapped off.
this feeds all the items you have said don't work
Bigger is better, there is no replacement for displacement

Been out and checked that, it's ok, why is there no easy wiring diagram for the later Capri? Or does somebody have one? But thanks for your help!
