I wanted to remove the LSD from my axle at the weekend, but couldn't! I've removed the plate and retaining brackets, but it's just stuck in there! Last time I did this to one of these, it just lifted out with hardly any effort, but this time, even with a bit of leverage it still didn't move at all. Has anyone had this before and know of a good way to do it?

Half-shafts still in place? Haynes describes using two tapered wedges of wood to poke behind the works for levering it all out, worked for me.

You can't remove the LSD... you've just got to let it run its course.. try and relax, get a mate to keep you company, put some nice music on or watch a film and remember, it WILL wear off!
