I think you can buy new stuff by the meter from the motorfactors. You might find a used one had gone too hard to push onto the connector. That happened with the one on my 2.8 so I had to use a bit of fuel hose and some jubilee clips to get it connected.

V6 or OHC - they are different in length - pinto is the shorter one if memory serves

It's for a pinto.. yes, i was wondering when someone would spot my deliberate mistake there.
I did try and make one, but I soon found myself swimming in a sea of different fittings, none of which actually fitted anything. I then found the hose itself impossibly hard to actually get the fittings into. I tried heating the hose up, which kind of worked, but it doesn't look like it'll take high pressure, high temp oil. So then I picked one up at CoC, which will do, but again, it's had 150,000 odd miles of wear and tear, so it'll only really serve to get me running, rather than peace of mind at 7500rpm.
So then I tried an old TIM capillery gauge with its own length of copper pipe I had lying around. Well, that didn't even get anywhere because once again no fitting any shop seemed to have fitted anything.
I then rerouted the oil pipe to squirt oil directly into my eyes whilst driving. There's no special fittings required for that you see and I thought it would be less annoying.
So yeah... a brand new proper Ford one for a pinto is what I'm after.. if such a thing exists. They're very short on the ground.

Oh damn Tom, I saw one at COC laying on the floor with the guy from MK selling a few bits. If only I'd gone up to you and said "Hey Tom, there is an oil sender pipe over there, go and make him an offer".
To be fair, I think you'd had a few.

You did I think Rich, that's the one I've got! But it's old and done a hundred thousand miles. Like I say it'll get me going, but where's all the NOS oil pressure pipes in the world got to?
