Right ive been putting off for ages but the atf is leaking out the back of the gear box where the propshaft pushes in. Is it a simple case of a small rubber o ring inside that may have perished?
If so can it be replaced with the gear box still on the car? I believe its a type 9 box. Its a five speed on a laser so please correct me if im wrong.
The car is in the air now so i can pull the box off so a quick responce would be much appreciated lol.
If it is a simple where can i buy the replacement pretty quick?
Cheers AndyH
Sorry for the messy post but im laying under the car as i write this lol.

Rear seal gone. It's a standard type seal, rubber bonded onto a metal disc. You can prise the old one out and push fit a new one with the box still on the car, just need the prop off. Burton Power stock them. Yes, it's a type 9 Burton Part Number is GBT9702 - £7.25 + p&p - Page 112 on their catalogue
Make sure there's no rust or muck on the fescalised portion (shiny bit) of the prop when you push it back in, cos that'll knacker your new seal.

Only raise the rear end or you'll loose a pint of oil. It's semi-synthetic for the 5 speed box!
