Really depends on your budget. If you've got the cash, image wheels do repro RS 4 spokes in 15" and pretty wide (up to 10" I think?). Otherwise, wait for a set of 15x8 compomotives to come up. If you're ultra keen, you can get a custom set of rims made by compmotive, but expect to pay £800+ without tyres. Advantage is that you can make them whatever size you like.

283mm disks WILL clear 15" brooklands wheels which are ET5, so should clear most 15" wheels around that size and offset (or anything with a - offset).

You can also buy hubcentric spacer adapters to allow you to use 5 stud alloys, in which case you can go get yourself some zakspeed style deep dish BBS basket rims (look for BMW fitment, they will be RWD offset and huge selection) or something else appropriately mean. It will really open up the choice of wheels available to you without you having to machine the hub.

Whatever you do, it aint gonna be cheap! But it will look awesome.

peugeot 205's have the same stud pattern as ford capri's, and they did an ultra wide wheel for the Dimma kitted 205's :)

OK Glyn, I'm willing to accept your banded steels, or indeed any capri steels. But Mondeo steels banded? In what way is that not going to look rancid?

Well do factor in the fact that these hub adapters aren't cheap, you could be looking at £250+ for those alone. Look further down this advert, I'd suggest that 4-5 stud would be what you are looking for.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-AUDI-WHEEL-ADA ... 5ad3c87071

TBH looking at that price you'd do better to get your hubs reground to 5 stud by a local engineer or just hanging around to try and wait for something suitable. Or go for banded steels lol.

There's an old phrase they use in TV, You can either spend time, or you can spend money!

mmmm money!!!! nah very short on that once ive finshed this project, christ my weekly shop is down to 9.78 from asda lol to fund the project along, use the computer at the mothers aswell  maybe get the lathe at work on the go and see what spacers i can come up with, already lathed the halfshafts and front hubs to fit the discs over.

thing is you can convert the stud patten then you have loads of choice for width etc from standard alloys that you can pick up for £100-£200 or you could have customs for £1000+,
and i defently dont want steels ive got shiny stainless steel sidewinder exhausts custom made by me  look a bit odd with steel wheels, a serria 14" wheel turned the opisite way on the hub fits the bill very nicely but erm bit dodgy!!! haha

Could probably make an educated guess on the offset, how much further do the x-pack arches stick out? And what width wheels (and tyres) are you wanting to get?

well im gonna mate up a standard mondeo wheel tonite and see how much more i need to reach the edge of the arch, i emailed a company in america and there is a custom company thatll do anything for you fairly cheep itll just be the shipping cost, they said they would post the wheels as demonstraters so there would be no import tax! happy days! looking at about £160 a wheel for a 16" with a 10j just tires will be the next deer bit! some nice deep dish wheels :xd: not sure if i want chrome though!
