I'm looking to replace the front end of my red Laser (wings, grille and skirt) and was wondering where I can or who could carry out the repairs in my area. I live in West Herts. I would have a go myself but for time.

Not sure where in Herts - look in Classic Ford and Practical Classics mag. Just to say I had exactly the same job done at a garage for 450 odd quid (minus skirts) and it turned out to be a complete botch. Make sure they clean up the inner wing which is bound to have a least surface rust prior to fixing the outer wing. Then make sure you waxoyl the undersides of the new panels. Why all this? Because about a year after I'd had it done, I had an interesting rendezvous with an oncoming car and a hedge. One of the wings came clean off, folded up into a pathetic piece of small scrap and revealed that it had been stuck on with some kind of paste to a rusted inner wing. What's more, the underside of the new wing was already rusting. So, some points to be aware of!Andy
