I took my 2.8i Auto off the road last year because it was overheating. I was advised by the technicians at work to change the head gaskets. I did this as well as strip down and overhaul the heads. Since I've put it all back together I have a strange problem. I have a misfire on number 2 & 4 cylinders. I thought that maybe I had put the distributor in 180 degrees out so I checked. This was indeed the case but rectifying this has not cured the misfire. I've checked the compressions and they are between 150 & 175psi on all cylinders. The plugs are all sparking o.k. Would you be kind enough to give me any clues as to where to go from here?
