Cam Bearings

I'm surprised you need to replace them. I replaced my cam shaft at 140,000 miles and didn't touch the bearings. They looked fine to me and the new cam was a nice snug fit. It has made the top of the engine considerably quieter I can tell you!

thanks for the advice. I think that they align bore the cam pedestals first and then they fit oversized od bearings and i carnt see the bearings being reamed to size. maybe they come in oversized bearings like mains etc. the bearings will have to have a ammount of crush. has anyone out there had this done PLEASE REPLY

Thanks for that.Its that in the near future i am pulling the head off to change the cam followers etc and porting and thought that i would change the bearings to take up any excess clearance
