New Cam

Post by guitarswet »

The cam I used was from the Capri Club and cost £33. They advertise it as a street cam and is not particularly uprated. I bought a set of cam followers from Burton for about £28 and that was all I changed. I decided that the springs were OK and pretty much everything else has minimal wear. I reckoned that this was cheaper than buying a burton kit which costs about £150 !

As I have said before there is not much point in fitting a different cam if you don't use a vernier pulley. Dave at the Capri Club sold me a S/H one for £20 + £4 p&p. You will also need to budget £100 for a good rolling road session to get everything set up properly.
